Newburyport MA, USA-January 8,2015 On Queue Computer Inc. a leading remanufacturer of ABB/HP Legacy workstations today unveiled a new line of SSD Drives for HP/ABB operator stations. Solid state drives (SSD) represent a new standard of storage for the ABB Advant station 500 series systems. Designed for speed and longevity these SSD Drives are ideal for commercial use in Chemical plants, Petrochemical (oil) refineries, Boiler controls and power plant systems, Nuclear power plants, Environmental control systems, Water management systems, Metallurgical process plants, Chemical plants, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Sugar refining plants, and Dry cargo and bulk oil carrier ships.

The SSD drives are available with three different SCSI connector options - 50pin Ultra SCSI, 68pin Ultra160 SCSI, and 80pin Ultra160 SCSI. These drives are fully suited and compatible with a large range of workstations including HP 9000 712 series, 715 series, B132L, B180L, and all Visualize B, C and J series workstations.

Solid State Drives have a more robust operating temperature, speed, and life expectancy than conventional drives and are meant to replace older 2gb, 4gb, 9gb, 18gb, 36gb, 72gb, 146gb and 300gb SCSI spindled drives. If you need a larger capacity drive, we can support up to a 3 terabyte (3Tb) SSD Drive. Drives can be provided with a preloaded version of operating system needed for a bootable spare. SSD Drives are much faster at loading the ABB operating environment and the expected lifetime is 5 to 10 years.

Durable Local Storage

Unlike a Spindled HDD, the SSD has no moving parts, so it can withstand vibrations and a more hazardous operating environment than spindled drives. Users do not need to worry about the wear and tear on moving parts that can result in lost or corrupted data. It is shock resistant up to 1500G/0.5ms and will run in extreme temperature conditions so users can rest easy knowing the drive can withstand even the toughest elements.
